UPSC IFS Examination Pattern 2016, Details

Name of the Posts: – Indian Forest Service (IFS). - Class X level) English Language Comprehension skills (Class X level).

Paper VI Each subject will have two papers..

But not should exceed more than 32 years.

Section A Farm Power and Machinery, Agro-energy Section B Agricultural Process Engineering, Instrumental and computer applications in Agricultural Engineering. Representing India in its Embassies, High Commissions, Consulates, and Permanent Missions to multilateral organizations like UN Protecting India’s national interests in the country of his/her posting Promoting friendly relations with the receiving state as also its people, including NRI / PIOs Reporting accurately on developments in the country of posting which are likely to influence the formulation of India’s policies Negotiating agreements on various issues with the authorities of the receiving state and Extending consular facilities to foreigners and Indian nationals abroad At home: Ministry of External Affairs is responsible for all aspects of external relations

(a) Agriculture and Agricultural Engineering. Therefore a candidate will be disqualified in case he/she does not appear in both the papers of Civil Services (Prelim) Examination..

6 Cell Theory
7 History of plant breeding
8 Physiology and its significance in agriculture
9 Growth and development, photoperiodism and vernalization
10 Climatic requirements and cultivation of major fruits and plants
11 Diseases and pests of field vegetables
. The candidate must be between the age group of 21 years and 32 years.. The topics that are covered in these 2 papers are enclosed below..

Seepage pressure, quick sand condition, compressibility and consolidation, Terzaghi's theory of one dimensional consolidation, consolidation test.

With the introduction of the CSAT, the UPSC now intends to choose Civil Servants who not only have the knowledge but also the aptitude for reasoning and analytical brain.
